TOMAS RUIZ
After a 15-year career as a professionally trained football player, Tomás transitioned into coaching. He began his coaching journey as an assistant with the Selección Andaluza SUB15, where he had the opportunity to help develop top-level players such as Sergio Ramos (former Real Madrid and Spanish national team star), Javi López (Espanyol and Real Betis), Isidoro (Real Betis), and Moyano (Real Valladolid), all of whom went on to play in Spain’s top division.

Professional playing career
Tomás Ruiz began his football journey at the age of 11, joining the Real Madrid Academy and developing within the Spanish football system. Over a 15-year playing career, he gained the technical and competitive foundations that now shape his coaching style.
From player to coach
After his playing career, Tomás moved into coaching. He began as an assistant coach with the Selección Andaluza SUB15, where he helped develop talented young players who later reached Spain’s top division, including Sergio Ramos, Javi López, Isidoro and Moyano.
Coaching experience in Spain and abroad
Tomás later worked as assistant coach for IRT Tanger in Morocco’s first division. He also held head coach roles at clubs including Hilal Nador, Brenes FC, UPP Plasencia, CP Monasterio and Arahal FC.
Professional scouting background
Alongside coaching, Tomás has worked as a professional football scout. His experience with Inter Management Football gave him insight into identifying and developing elite football talent.
Cañada Blanch Football School
Since 2012, Tomás has led Cañada Blanch Football School in London. As Founder and Head Coach, he guides the school’s football strategy and leads many of the training sessions, bringing a Spanish coaching methodology to young players in the city.
